Registered Nurse duties which include but not limited to occupational health services, emergency nursing services, immunizations, administration of medications via oral, intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal; dressing changes, nursing assessments, patient care with medical conditions such as influenza, musculoskeletal injuries, head injuries, etc. Performing audiograms, vision testing, electrocardiograms and occasionally spirometry testing during routine medical examinations for RCMP members and cadets.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.
This process will be used to staff an indeterminate full time position.

Occupational Certification: Registered nurse in the province of Saskatchewan
Recent* and significant** experience in providing nursing services in one of the following areas: occupational health, disability case management, rehabilitative services, or general clinical nursing.
*Recent is defined as experience normally obtained within the past 5 years.
**Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of duties for approximately two (2) years.
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in nursing, nursing service administration, nursing education or some other specialty relevant to the position
Experience working in an occupational health environment

The successful applicant will have to obtain an RCMP security clearance. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, on-line activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
