Duties

There are a variety of opportunities at the CR-04 level. Some examples include:

Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) Clerk – Reviews, maintains and updates data, identifies and addresses gaps, inconsistencies and missing information into Human Resources Management Information System. Provides advice, explanation and interpretation to clients in RCMP for the province of British Columbia in matters related to the completion of transfers and other transactions.

Public Service Staffing Clerk – Reviews and processes staffing actions such as acting appointments and casual contracts related to the Public Service. Provides client support to clients via email, over the phone, and in person.

Heath Services Admin Support – Employees in these positions work directly with doctors and nurses, providing service to RCMP Regular Members. By joining our team, you will be able to provide information to assist the health needs of our clients.

Finance Administrative Clerk – Provides general administrative support for employees and management and is the contact for arranging training, travel, meetings, fleet vehicles and building access. Provides procurement and financial support such as ordering office supplies, generating JV’s and billing, and creating reports in SAP.

Recruiting Clerk – Provides general administrative support for employees and management within the Recruiting unit. May assist regular members in administering exams when required and may travel within metro Vancouver to attend recruiting events such as college and community career fairs. Provides general client services such as answering inquiries over the phone, email and in person.

Civil Litigation Analysis Unit (CLAU) Clerk – Responsible for data entry into the Incident Claims Database (W5), providing information management support services to CLAU, maintaining various excel spreadsheets, retrieving documents from Police Records Information Management Environment Database (PRIME) and requesting disclosure from various RCMP clients. Provides client support to our external and internal clients via email and over the phone.

PRU Support Clerk – Provides general administrative support for employees and management within the Professional Responsibility unit (PRU). Provides assistance to Harassment team within PRU creating, maintaining electronic/hardcopy files, reviewing/inputting data in to the ACMT database, MS Excel spreadsheet, proof reading documents, coordinating and scheduling/arranging meetings. Provides external and internal client support via email, over the phone and in person.

Intent of the process

Anticipatory.

This inventory will be used to staff positions at RCMP E Division Headquarters at 14200 Green Timbers Way, Surrey, BC.

A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future permanent or temporary vacancies (including terms, actings, casuals, assignments and secondments) in similar-level positions (at full or part-time hours, including shift-work). Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Candidates may be contacted and assessed against these criteria at any time during this process.

Interested persons must meet the essential qualifications to be appointed to the position, in a manner determined by the Selection Board. A person may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements or organizational needs. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.

Please note that within the context of this selection process, travel costs/expenses will not be reimbursed. Consequently, candidates will be responsible for travel costs.

Random selection may be used to identify which applicants will be assessed or appointed in this appointment process.

Top-down selection may apply.

If a qualified candidate has been selected and appointed on an indeterminate basis from the established pool, they will be removed from the pool. If a candidate is selected for a specified period (including term, acting, or assignment/secondment) appointment, they will remain in the pool for future offers.

This process and the resulting pool will only be used to staff positions in the RCMP.

Any information provided by a candidate through their application or assessment that is deemed to be incorrect or fraudulent will be eliminated from further consideration.

Experience qualifications will be assessed upon application. Further confirmation or assessment may be conducted through reference checks.

All information obtained throughout the selection process, from time of application to close of process, may be used to evaluate candidates.
