EDUCATION
ED1. A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Notes:
Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.
EXPERIENCE:
EX1. Significant* experience in developing and being the primary coordinator for effective Web communications plans and/or Web products and collaborating with coders, programmers and subject matter experts.
EX2. Significant* experience in providing communications advice to management on issues, projects, or programs (managers and director).
EX3. Significant* experience providing advice for websites based on usability and accessibility best practices.
EX4. Significant* experience gathering and analyzing web metrics (ie. analytics, usability testing) to improve web content, layout and task completion.
*Significant experience means sufficient variety, depth and breadth of experience to display a working knowledge in the area of expertise acquired over a period of 6 months or more.
