The intent is to staff four positions on an indeterminate basis at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC). A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may also be established to staff similar or identical positions at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various linguistic profiles as well as tenures (term or indeterminate), location across Canada and/or security clearance, which may vary according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Note:
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in working in collaboration, or negotiating with stakeholders or partners (e.g. community level organizations, government organizations, industry stakeholders, non-government organizations, etc.).
Experience analyzing issues and making recommendations to senior management (Director or above).
Significant* experience in preparing or managing the preparation of comprehensive documents (E.g. : statistical surveys, qualitative and quantitative studies, research reports, position papers, strategic plans and planning documents, Memoranda to Cabinet, Treasury Board submissions and evaluation reports, briefing notes or presentations to senior management).
* Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with performing activities for a period of approximately two (2) years.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in working with federal departments, provincial/territorial governments, or Indigenous organizations to advance common objectives.
Experience in conducting research and analysis on Indigenous-related issues.
Experience in working on /projects that support the reconciliation agenda with Indigenous peoples.
Experience in using PowerBI.
Experience working for a central agency (i.e., the Privy Council Office, Department of Finance, or Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat) in a policy advisory role.
Various language requirements
The positions to staff are bilingual BBB/BBB and english essential. However, the pool could be used to staff positions with various language requirements*: Bilingual BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, French essential or English essential.
*In exceptional circumstances, Bilingual non-imperative appointments (with various levels) may be approved.
