Duties

Key Activities :
- Provides technical, coordination and/or administrative support to services and/or programs for Property Management and/or Security/Safety and/or Business Continuity/ Emergency Response Planning.
- Provides advice and/or services to employees, managers and/or clients on requirements, processes and/or procedures. Provides support in the preparation of long term plans.
- Conducts analysis of requests and requirements. Identifies courses of action which may require some modifications of established departmental methods and/or procedures, related to property management, facilities, safety/security and/or business continuity/emergency response planning and formulates proposals and/or recommends solutions.
- Assists in the development of policies, tools, exercises, procedures and/or guidelines, related to the area(s) of work.
- Coordinates and/or conducts evaluations, sweeps, and/or inspections. Investigates, researches and/or reports on results, violations and/or security breaches.
- Participates in the planning, coordination, reporting and/or implementation of initiatives, programs, procedures and/services.
- Collects, researches and analyses information/data. Prepares briefing materials, contracts, agreements, terms of reference, various reports, documentations and/or presentations.
- Participates in the planning, delivery and/or coordination of awareness, training and/or information sessions and/or programs.
- Liaises with other government departments/agencies, other levels of government, clients, private industry representatives/consultants and/or other external stakeholders to exchange and obtain information and respond to inquiries. Coordinates and/or participates on special projects, project teams, working groups and/or committees.

Intent of the process

The intent of this selection process is to staff multiple positions for a 12 month period with possibility of extension.

A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies, similar or lower-level positions, for term and acting, at full time hours.

Indeterminate employees at the same group and level or equivalent may be considered for deployment. If no deployment is made, other applicants will be considered in the advertised appointment process.
