INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW:

Duties

Join PSPC's Real Property Geomatics Services team and support the department's surveying, measurement and geomatics activities.

MAIN DUTIES:

As a Geomatic Officer (EG-04) you will:
• Coordinate the space measurement activities,
• Prioritize requests,
• Evaluate work performed by subcontractors
• Coordinate field activities as required.

As a Geomatics Technician (EG-03) you will be responsible for :
• collecting, analyzing, representing and reviewing spatial data to meet the needs of a team of professionals, in surveying and geomatics.

Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this selection process is to staff one (1) indeterminate EG-04 position and one (1) anticipatory EG-03 position.

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates will be created to staff similar or identical positions within PSPC, Quebec Region, with various linguistic profiles, security profiles, tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, assignment, secondment, and specified period/term), and conditions of employment.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

ALL STREAMS (EG-03/EG-04):
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in building drafting, surveying, geomatics OR an acceptable combination of education, training or experience in the field related to the positions.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

ALL STREAMS (EG-03/EG-04):
• Experience* providing advice to clients, colleagues in other areas and management.
• Recent and significant** experience* in processing and verifying survey or plans or space measurement drawings according to established technical standards and procedures.
• Recent and significant** experience* with computer aided design and drawing software (AutoCAD 2019).

STREAM 2 ONLY (EG-04):
• Recent and significant** experience* in coordination, planning and prioritization of tasks.

Notes:
* 3 years of experience within the last 5 years for Stream 1 – EG-03
* 5 years of experience within the last 8 years for Stream 2 – EG-04
** Recent and significant experience is defined as experience in areas relevant to the positions that will be evaluated based on the duration, variety and complexity of tasks performed, the level of responsibility of the candidate, and the type of projects, number and level of stakeholders. This experience varies in length depending on the level.
