Work environment

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to fill one indeterminate position in Shilo, MB.

This process may be used to staff the same or similar positions with various tenures, language or security requirements within DND.

Occupational Certification:
Possession of a valid Provincial or Inter-provincial Journeyperson Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic OR a military QL5 equivalent qualification.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Experience in the repair, maintenance, inspection OR installation of commercial OR industrial trade related systems and equipment

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness to work overtime as required

Must be willing and able to travel

Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment

Candidates must be willing and able to work in heights, confined spaces, and physically lift up to 25 kg when required.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

Possession of a valid and unrestricted provincial Driver’s licence.

Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 driving permit.

Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment.

Candidates must be willing and able to work in heights, confined spaces, and physically lift of up to 25 kg when required.
