Intent of the process

This process is intended to fill various AS-01 and AS-02 positions within the Skills and Employment Branch in the National Capital Region.

A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions of various tenures (acting, assignment, secondment, deployment, specified period, indeterminate, casual), security profiles (reliability, secret, etc.) and language profiles (unilingual and bilingual), within Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).

🎓EDUCATION

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma, or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

📌EXPERIENCE

(AS-01 and AS-02)
• Experience in operating informatics systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook or PowerPoint).

(AS-02 only)
• Experience gathering, consolidating or analyzing input from various sources such as finance, human resources, administrative services or briefing and correspondence.
• Experience in liaising directly with other areas on various issues.
• Experience in providing advice, guidance or recommendations to managers, clients or partners.
