The role of the Senior Program Delivery Officer is to supervise the team of Environmental Notifications Operations Officers working at the notification desk of the National Environmental Emergencies Centre. Duties include:
• Development, review and maintenance of procedures and guidance documents;
• Quality control of data and reports;
• Participate and coordinate the training of new officers;
• Project management;
• Providing recommendations to management on program delivery initiatives and activities;
• Establish schedule for the notification desk officers.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to fill one (1) indeterminate position in Montreal, Quebec.

A pool of qualified or partially assessed candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements, in various locations, with various tenures (specified period, indeterminate, assignment, deployment, secondments, and acting) within Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Education:
ED1 A secondary school diploma

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX1 Significant experience* in providing recommendations to clients or stakeholders, including the public or external partners
EX2 Experience in analyzing and synthesizing information into reports or presentations
EX3 Experience contributing to the planning and delivery of programs or projects.
EX4 Experience reviewing and developing procedures.
EX5 Experience with the following softwares included in the Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Significant experience is defined as the experience obtained by the candidate is representative of the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties for a period of approximately two (2) years or more.
