POSITION LOCATION / WORK ARRANGEMENT:
This position is located in Toronto; however, the successful candidate may work from one of the OSFI offices across Canada – Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, or Vancouver - as agreed with their manager.

Duties

The vision of the Risk Advisory Hub (RAH) is to make capital and liquidity a centrepiece in our risk assessments.

Supervision Data & Analytical Insights (SDnAi)
A critical part of RAH, SDnAi has within its mandate to:
1. elevate analytics tools to enable insightful data-driven supervisory decision-making & assessments;
2. develop and maintain tools to support risk assessments including capital and liquidity adequacy; and
3. promote data literacy and the effective use of supervisory information through analytic tools and training.

The Manager, SDnAi is responsible for:
• activities that primarily relate to a specific industry or industries;
• leading the development and ongoing management of a small team of analysts;
• developing tools and solutions to advance supervision’s analytics capabilities and to promote data literacy, data-driven decision-making, and effective use of supervisory information; and
• providing input to the Director on SDnAi’s plans and priorities.

Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis where the designated worksite Toronto, Ontario is OSFI’s office located at 121 King Street West, Suite 1900, Toronto, Ontario, M5H 3T9.

A flexible work arrangement can be established to allow for a combination of telework (work from home or a remote location within Canada outside of the traditional office) and onsite office work (the designated worksite or another OSFI office). While there is flexibility to report to an OSFI office in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal or Vancouver that is closest to your regular telework location, you may also be required to report into and work onsite from your designated worksite Toronto from time to time at management’s request.

A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security requirements and/or various tenures within the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

• Experience in data and analytics including business information tools (such as Power BI, Tableau for visualization, or Excel) for the analysis and assessment of one or more of the following: Credit, Liquidity, Market, Insurance, Operational risk, or Capital.
