Duties

STREAM 1 - REGIONAL JUNIOR PROGRAM OFFICER (PM-02)
This position will be part of a team that is engaging with First Nations partners and the provincial government in the delivery of emergency assistance services on reserve. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with knowledge of program administration processes and practices, and analytical skills for the evaluation and tracking of proposals and other requests. Services to First Nations partners will be handled with cultural awareness and an in-depth knowledge of ISC programs.

STREAM 2 - REGIONAL SENIOR PROGRAM OFFICER (PM-04)
This position will be part of a team that will support self-determination in First Nations communities in the context of community infrastructure programs and services. Key activities of the position will include planning, developing, and managing projects in a strategic context with cultural awareness and an in-depth knowledge of the strategic direction of ISC. We are seeking enthusiastic and innovative individuals with leadership skills, strong organizational skills, financial management skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated capacity to work as part of a team.

We are seeking to immediately fill one Regional Junior Program Officer (PM-02) and two Regional Senior Program Officer (PM-04) positions.

We will also create a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff, or offer acting appointments.

EDUCATION:
Stream 1- PM 02 Only: A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Note: the employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
- A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Stream 2- PM 04 Only: Graduation with a degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution in business administration or management, social sciences, political sciences, accounting, public administration, Indigenous studies, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
Experience working collaboratively on projects or initiatives to achieve objectives and outcomes.

Experience in analysing material in support of policies and programs.

Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders or partners.

Stream 2- PM 04 Only: Experience preparing reporting material in support of policies and programs (including but not limited to briefing material or financial analysis).

Stream 2- PM 04 Only: Experience providing advice and recommendations on program issues to management.
