Work environment

► The Civilian Review and Complaints Commission for the RCMP (CRCC) is a department of the federal government, distinct and independent from the RCMP. CRCC is a division of the Federal Core Public Administration under the responsibility of the Minister of Public Safety. CRCC's employees are employees of the public service.

► The Commission reviews and investigates complaints about the conduct of RCMP members. When reviewing a complaint, the Commission does not act as an advocate for either the complainant or the RCMP members. The Commission inquires into complaints independently and reaches conclusions after an objective examination of the information provided.

Intent of the process

If you don’t immediately receive a job offer at CRCC, qualified candidates will also be placed in a talent pool to be used for staffing similar permanent or temporary positions in the future. The skill specialization(s), work location, language profile, and security clearance requirements will vary according to the position being staffed.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
- Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

Experience:
- Experience in providing services to multiple managers or clients.
- Experience in performing information management and records management activities (filing, classifying, indexing, retrieval, etc.).
- Experience in performing mailroom activities
- Experience in rendering quality control services (data entry, verification information).

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Asset Education:
- Graduation with a diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in documentation administration, archive administration, library science or other information management-related program.

Degree equivalency

- Experience in using and providing functional support for an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) such as Records, Document and Information Managerment System (RDIMS), GCDocs or Microsoft SharePoint.
- Experience working in Information Management within the Federal Public Service

Operational Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice.
- Required to work onsite regularly, as determined by management.
