The intent of this selection process is to create a pool of fully or partially qualified candidates to be used to staff these or similar or lower level positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Newfoundland and Labrador. This process may be used to staff various tenures, including indeterminate, specified period, deployment, assignment, secondment and acting.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience

Degree equivalency

Experience:
- Experience conducting studies, research or analysis of policies, management plans, agreements or contracts
- Experience preparing written materials such as proposals, briefing notes or similar documentation

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Asset Education:
Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position

Degree equivalency

Asset Experience:
- Experience in engaging with Indigenous client groups and/or other non-government stakeholder organizations such as fishing industry and/or other governments
- Experience working in cross functional teams
- Experience relating to the management of commercial, recreational, or Indigenous fisheries resources in Newfoundland and Labrador
- Experience in analyzing complex information from multiple sources
