Education:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.
Experience:
AS-01
Experience working with Microsoft Office software applications.
Experience managing multiple priorities in order to meet deadlines.
Experience in management and maintenance of records.
Experience providing executive assistant support, such as:
o Scheduling and coordinating meetings
o Drafting, editing and verifying correspondence or reports
o Organizing and arranging travel
AS-02 (in addition to AS-01 experience listed above)
Experience providing financial support services, such as:
o Budget management and reconciliation
o Creating and verifying financial reports
Experience researching, collecting and analyzing information to provide advice to supervisors, managers or directors.
Experience supervising or leading a team.
English essential

General knowledge of the mandate and role of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

Education:
Successful completion of a vocational program, certificate, diploma or degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in office administration, business administration, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.
Experience:
Experience working in a professional office.
Experience working with government of Canada administrative systems such as HRG, SAP, GcDocs, EKME, GCCMS, Peoplesoft or myGCHR.
Experience managing sensitive and classified documents.
Experience applying Government policies and procedures in the areas of travel, finance and human resources.
Reliability Status security clearance - Reliability or Secret Status security clearance – dependent on the position.
Ability to travel as required.
Ability to work overtime as required.
