🎓 EDUCATION
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IT Group on 11/12/2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT Group.

Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.

At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above. Degree equivalency

✔️ EXPERIENCE
Significant* experience in leading, or providing the lead technical role, on complex** IM/IT projects.
Significant* experience in designing and delivering presentations, briefings and recommendations for senior management*** involving complex** IM/IT issues.
Experience in leading change, such as the transition to digital services, for IM/IT projects including its impacts on people, processes and technology.
Experience in human**** and financial***** resource management.

*Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of or complex related activities for approximately 5 years

**Complex projects involving two or more of the following: high-impact to the clients, high media visibility, involving external stakeholders, department-wide multiple clients, coordinating multiple teams, new product introduction or high technology risks

***Senior management is defined as EX-01 and above or private sector equivalent

****Human resources management is defined as managing and supervising personnel including the management of day-to-day activities, performance management and leave approval.

*****Financial resource management is defined as budget planning, resource tracking and financial prioritization activities.
