Global Affairs Canada is recruiting candidates interested in a hybrid work environment combining work from home and a certain level of presence in the office. Full-time teleworking from a home located in a city other than Gatineau or Ottawa may be considered as an option depending on operational requirements.
Global Affairs Canada (GAC) is looking for self-motivated and passionate individuals to join its team of dedicated communications professionals. You will work for one of the strategic communications sections, which provide services to GAC’s ministers, deputy ministers and multiple client divisions. This includes communications related to corporate and internal affairs, consular and emergencies services, and international development.

ED1. A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.
EXPERIENCE
E1. Recent* experience in providing communications advice to clients.
E2. Recent* experience in researching, writing or editing communications products, such as news releases, web content, social media content, and messages for employees.
E3. Experience in working on communications projects involving multiple teams.
*Recent is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties in the last two (2) years.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
AE1: A degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Literature from a recognized post-secondary institution.
EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Experience in translating communications products.
AEX2: Experience in developing, publishing, and/or analyzing social media content.
AEX3: Experience in developing multimedia content, such as videos, graphics and presentations.
AEX4: Experience in planning and coordinating events.
AEX5: Experience in engaging with the public and/or stakeholders, virtually and/or in person.
AEX6: Experience in advertising for the Government of Canada
