Have you ever wanted to work for the RCMP but not carry a gun? This advertised opportunity is for an entry level position as a Public Service Employee with the RCMP.
The PROS Data Centre (PDC) provides support to frontline police officers by completing their data entries. This primarily involves transcribing reports recorded by police officers and entering the required data into a variety of computer platforms. This operational assistance enhances the quality and accuracy of police records and reduces the time a police officer may spend in front of a computer so they can concentrate their efforts towards police investigations.
The intent of this process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates with various tenures (i.e. indeterminate, term, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment).
Applicants are encouraged to apply ONLY if they are willing and able to work in or relocate to Calgary and/or Edmonton, Alberta.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.
