Library and Archives Canada offers a number of advantages:
1) We have our own compensation service and compensation advisors are available on site. LAC is not serviced by the Pay Centre.
2) All human resources are located in the same place.
3) Our offices are located at 550 de la Cité Boulevard in Gatineau (Gatineau sector) near: Parc O bus, the Maison de la Culture, the Gatineau Sports Center and near bike paths.
The process intent is to staff one temporary position for a duration of two years. A pool of qualified candidates may be established. This process may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, linguistic profiles and levels, and security clearance levels, within Library and Archives Canada.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, home economics or some other specialty relevant to the positions in the classification.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience teaching English as a second language to an adult audience.
Experience in using a variety of second language teaching methods and/or methodologies to adapt to a learner need.
Experience using Microsoft Teams or other videoconferencing software.
Bilingual - Imperative (PPP/BBB)

Knowledge of lesson planning and curriculum design for adult learners.

Experience in teaching public servants in preparation for SLE exams.
