Intent of the process

Our intent is to staff positions within the National Capital Region, however, various locations may also be considered in anticipation of future needs.

A partially assessed pool* may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various language requirements and various security requirements, within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

* Partially qualified simply means that the candidates will be deemed qualified except for the linguistic and security profiles which will be evaluated at a later date should the candidate be considered for an appointment.

They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.

A variety of assessment tools may be used in the assessment of candidates. All information collected throughout the selection process from the submission of the application until the end of the process could be used to assess the candidates.
