LOCATION:
The English Essential positions are located in Toronto (Ontario); however, the successful candidates may work from one of the following OSFI offices - Toronto (Ontario), Ottawa (Ontario) or Montreal (Québec) - as agreed with their manager.
The bilingual imperative CCC/CCC position is located in Montreal (Québec), however, the successful candidate may work from one of the following OSFI offices - Ottawa (Ontario) or Montreal (Québec) - as agreed with their manager.

To keep pace with growing and increasingly complex demands, the Risk Assessment and Intervention Hub (RAIH) is seeking highly motivated individuals with a broad financial industry and risk management perspective to participate in the supervision, analysis, and assessment of the financial condition, risk profile, and risk management practices of Canada’s federally regulated domestic systemically important banks (DSIBs), small and medium-sized banks (SMSBs) and international active insurance groups (IAIGs).
The Analyst is primarily responsible for providing analytical and coordination support to the Lead Supervisor and team in the supervision of an assigned DSIB, SMSB or IAIG. In doing so, the Analyst contributes to the overall safety and soundness of such institution through performance of supervisory activities in accordance with OSFI’s Supervisory Framework.
The Analyst is required to assist in the monitoring of an assigned DSIB, SMSB or IAIG by analyzing operating results and financial position/performance. The Analyst will participate in supervisory reviews where in-depth, comprehensive monitoring and reviews apply and coordinate the reporting of significant changes and results to the Lead Supervisor and team.

The immediate need is to staff 10 English Essential Analyst positions, and 1 Bilingual Imperative (CCC/CCC) Analyst position on an indeterminate basis within the Risk Assessment and Intervention Hub (International Banking, Domestic Banking, and Insurance & Pensions Teams).
A flexible work arrangement can be established to allow for a combination of telework (work from home) and onsite office work (the designated worksite or another OSFI office). While there is flexibility to report to an OSFI office (Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal for the English essential positions and Ottawa or Montreal for the Bilingual imperative CCC/CCC position) that is closest to your regular telework location, you may also be required to report into and work onsite from your designated worksite (Toronto office or Montreal office) from time to time at management’s request.
A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security requirements and/or various tenures within the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:
• A degree from a post-secondary institution with specialization in finance, business, commerce, economics, accounting, risk management, actuarial or other relevant field OR an acceptable combination of relevant professional industry experience and education.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
• Work experience in the Canadian financial services industry* (may include experience obtained as part of a co-op program or internship).
* Financial services industry experience is defined as experience working in one or more of the following areas: (a) financial institutions including banks, trust and loan companies, and insurance companies (b) firms dealing with audits or consulting engagements to such institutions (including reinsurance brokers) (c) technology and data companies providing services to financial institutions or linked to the delivery of financial services (d) government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions (e) First Nation Institutions including: Band operations, trustees or administrators of pension plans, lending institutions or other related areas providing financial services (f) other relevant areas.
