- When responding to the screening questions, be sure you:
• Clearly demonstrate how you meet each experience by answering the online questions and provide concrete, specific examples of actions that speak directly to the experience sought.
• Include when the example took place (month-year to month-year), background of each situation, what you did, how you did it, what your role was in the situation, and what was the outcome.
• Focus on what you did. When referring to an experience achieved in the context of a team, set your role apart from the role(s) of others.

A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) with various tenures (Indeterminate, specified period, acting, deployment, secondment, assignment), various language requirements and various security requirements.

EDUCATION
• A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution;
OR
• A recognized professional accounting designation. The recognized professional accounting designations are: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified General Accountant (CGA).
EXPERIENCE
• Significant* experience in conducting all phases of an internal or an external audit engagement.
• Significant* experience in the development of a risk assessment.
• Significant* experience in conducting internal or external audit interviews, including preparing guides, and taking notes.
• Significant* experience in providing advice and presenting observations to supervisors (Project Leader level, equivalent or above).
• Significant* experience preparing internal or external audit written materials, such as working papers, plans, reports or presentations.
* “Significant” experience is defined as the breadth and depth of experience associated with completing the duties of the position for a period of at least three (3) years.

ASSET EXPERIENCE

• Experience in supervising or leading a team.
• Experience in contributing to the conduct of quality assurance reviews.
• Experience in contributing to the development of policies, practices, or procedures.
• Experience in contributing to practice management activities, including the development of a risk-based audit plan and the coordination of the management action plan follow-up exercise.

4. Candidates are required to meet the essential qualifications. Depending on the requirements of the position(s) being staffed from this process, for current or future vacancies, any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements and organizational needs may be applied at any time during this process.
5. Please note that achieving the pass mark on any of the assessments used does not mean you will move forward in the selection process. Management may decide to use a score that is higher than the pass mark on any of the evaluations used throughout the selection process. Management may also decide to use random or top-down selection at any stage of the assessment process.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
