What is the PE Development Program (PEDP)?
The PEDP is designed to facilitate the development of talented individuals who have the potential to excel as HR professionals. The program is an integrated, competency-based career development framework, designed to hire participants at the junior level and, after fulfilling training and development requirements, appoint them to the working level.
In the spirit of collaboration and career development, NRCan and DFO are committed to creating a temporary employee exchange opportunity for advisors hired in the staffing discipline. Both Departments are transitioning to a Hybrid model. Our team members will be working on site in the office at least some of the time.

Your résumé.
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.
Experience in researching and analysing information.
Experience working with clients to identify problems and recommend solutions.
Experience working in a Human Resources environment.
Experience in providing information and options to management OR researching policies, directives and guidelines in:
- Staffing;
- Classification;
- Labour Relations;
- Other HR discipline – please specify.
