✔️ Valid Safe Food Handling Certificate (Please note that it is not necessary to hold this Certificate to apply for this job opportunity, but you should have obtained it in order to be considered for any appointment).

Reliability security clearance
Hold a valid passport
Valid Health Canada Medical (however, a valid Transport Canada Seafarer’s medical may be accepted on initial appointment for a period of up to a maximum of 6 months or until a Health Canada Medical is completed)
Valid Occupational Certification required for the position.
Agree to be deployed anywhere in Canada
Agree to be assigned anywhere in Canada.
Willingness and ability to go to sea for various lengths of time.
Willingness and ability to travel by land, air and water.
Willingness and ability to work overtime.
Willingness and ability to wear and maintain a uniform per Canadian Coast Guard standards, inclusive of CSA approved Safety Footwear (black in colour), and maintain job related personal safety equipment.
Must be willing and able to wear a Respiratory Protection device and meet the standard of the CCG Respiratory Protection Program - RPP.
