ABOUT GLOBAL AFFAIRS CANADA
Global Affairs Canada manages Canada's diplomatic relations, provides consular services to Canadians, promotes the country's international trade, and lead Canada's international development and humanitarian assistance.
In your role, you will assist in leading the design and deployment of new solutions for Canadians and missions abroad. You will also have the opportunity to support and lead the improvement of the existing solutions.
A pool of candidates could be created to fill similar positions at Global Affairs Canada.

EDUCATION:
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed OR acceptable combination of Education, Trainings and/or experience.
Note:
1. Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
2. Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. EXPERIENCES:
ALL Streams (IM/IT Technical Advisor, PeopleSoft Technical Advisor, Team lead)
EX1. Significant* experience Delivering IT client services, including gathering and analyzing client requirements.
EX2. Significant* experience in the analysis of IT application requirements or technologies and providing technical advice and solutions to support business needs.
EX3. Significant* experience in designing, developing, configuring, testing, maintaining or implementing IM/IT solutions or services.
Stream 1 (Technical Advisor - Peoplesoft)
EX4. Significant* experience in Peoplesoft application development using Peoplesoft Application Designer (For example PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, etc.).
Stream 2 (Team Lead)
EX5. Experience supervising or leading team(s) for projects or operational needs.

*Significant experience is defined as evidence of accomplishments that demonstrate the delivery of effective results which would normally be acquired over a period of three (3) years.

ALL Stream (IM/IT Technical Advisor, PeopleSoft Technical Advisor, Team lead)
AEx1. Experience Designing, developing and maintaining AEM Forms.
AEx2. Experience analyzing or maintaining SAP.
AEx3. Experience programming in java, javascript, C#, .Net, PHP or SQL.
AEx4. Experience with Web Content Management Systems (WCMS) or Software Quality Assurance and automated testing tools and techniques.
AEx5. Experience with source code management software (For example GitHub, Team foundation Server, DevOps, etc.).
Various language requirements
Technical Advisor: Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, English Essential, English or French.
Lead position: Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC, BBB/BBB (under review).
