In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Registered/Licensed as a Psychologist for autonomous practice by the provincial registering/licensing body in the province of practice. (Candidates for positions in the Prairie region will be considered to have met the registration criterion if they are registered for autonomous practice as a Psychologist in any one of the region’s provinces. For the Atlantic region, candidates will be considered to have met the registration criterion if they are registered as a Psychologist in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia.)

EXPERIENCE
Experience* in planning, implementing and evaluation of health interventions and/or programs in interdisciplinary practice settings
* Experience being defined as a period of 3 or more years

EXPERIENCE
Clinical experience providing psychological services in a correctional environment
Experience as a discipline-specific professional practice lead or related resource in the health care field
Experience in managing financial and/or human resources
Experience conducting research
Experience working in a correctional environment

EDUCATION
Graduation with a master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in clinical, forensic or counseling psychology.

Degree equivalency

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of the mandate, priorities, legislation, policies, Commissioner’s Directives, guidelines, accreditation standards in health care within the Correctional Service of Canada.
Knowledge of current and emerging health/education technologies, trends and best practices.
Knowledge of professional standards, ethical standards, resources, human rights and health.
