Work environment

The team’s management strongly believes in participatory management, whereas each team member is encouraged to bring forward and share his / her ideas to bring about positive changes to the team, its controls assessment methodology and working tools. Furthermore, the team’s management places a great deal of importance on work-personal life balance for all of its employees.

The team is located at 70 Crémazie St. in Gatineau and currently operates with a hybrid approach. Employees are expected to work from the office one day a week but this may change over time.

Intent of the process

This process will be used to create a pool of partially - or fully - qualified candidates, which will be used by Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada to staff similar positions at an identical group and level with same linguistic profiles (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB), same security profiles and various tenures using various staffing activities.

To avoid situations of conflict of interest and conflict of duties with the goal of upholding the values and ethics of the public sector and the public interest, applicants providing immigration consulting services (both registered and unregistered, paid and/or unpaid), would be required to recuse themselves from these duties for the duration of their employment, should they be appointed to a position within Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Moreover, prospective appointees who are Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) would be required to resign from the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. Of note, a “leave of absence” from the College does not meet IRCC’s requirement in the matter.

• Level/degree of one or more qualifications;

In order to be “included in the process“ you must meet all the essential qualifications when submitting your application. If you incorrectly responded 'No' to a qualification you do in fact possess, simply retrieve your application and update your response to the screening question.

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
