Salary Progression:
1) PE-02: $71,643 to $79,519 (under review)

What will you do?
As Human Resources Generalist Advisor, you will be responsible for providing operational services to client portfolios.You will be required to:
• Act as a strategic HR Advisor to your clients;
• Provide advice and guidance in HR disciplines, primarily in staffing, classification (1st level of advice) and HR planning;
• Identify human resources issues;
• Assist in resolving complex HR issues;
• Work with clients to determine their needs.

FLEXIBLE WORK MODE:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, federal employees demonstrated their ability to adapt to new ways of working both on-site and remotely, while delivering results for Canadians. We have therefore taken inspiration from experience and the Canadian Space Agency has adopted a hybrid and flexible work mode as part of its work environment.
Depending on the nature of the work required by the position and operational needs, hybrid forms of work, such as telework, a combination of on-site work and telework, and compressed work schedules will be possibilities. On a case-by-case basis, a telework arrangement could be considered from any location in Canada. Employees who telework may be asked to travel to the work site, if needed, at their own expense.
The intent of this process is to immediately fill one (1) positions of Human Resources Generalist Advisor on an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be also used for appointments for similar positions with varying employment tenures, language requirements, position locations, security requirements depending on the needs of the positions being staffed.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labor or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.
Note: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

EXPERIENCE:
PE-02:
• Approximately eighteen (18) months of experience in providing staffing advice and guidance to managers in an operational environment
• Experience analyzing and interpreting human resources information from a variety of sources to make recommendations to hiring managers/clients.
PE-03:
• Approximately three (3) years of experience in providing staffing advice and guidance to managers in an operational environment
• Experience analyzing and interpreting human resources information from a variety of sources to make recommendations to hiring managers/clients.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience providing advice and guidance in one of the following human resources areas, such as, but not limited to: Human Resources Planning, Learning, Employment Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Official Languages, Classification/Organizational Design.
• Experience in conducting large-scale staffing processes.
• Experience in providing advice and guidance in executive recruitment.
• Experience in preparing and presenting to employees and/or managers/supervisors on various HR related topics.
• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) Designation.
• Experience providing human resources advice and guidance in a government setting (municipal, provincial/territorial/federal).
• Experience in providing advice and guidance to clients related to labour relations.
• Experience in the interpretation and application of collective agreements and legislative framework in the field of labour relations.
• Experience in dealing with bargaining agent representatives.
