The Manager, Administration will report to the Director Finance and Management Services and will be responsible for the delivery of administrative programs and services for the ACOA Newfoundland and Labrador region.
The position manages 3 administrative support staff and is responsible for providing a variety of administrative services including contracting and procurement, facilities management, fleet and asset management, health and safety/security, and record management for the ACOA Newfoundland and Labrador region.

We are recruiting one (1) permanent position at ACOA Newfoundland and Labrador, located in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador. This process in not intended to create a pool of candidate.
ACOA Newfoundland and Labrador has adapted a hybrid work model, and there is an expectation, for the time being, to work a minimum of one day a week from the ACOA Newfoundland and Labrador regional office in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador in order to increase collaboration, increase knowledge sharing, connect with regional staff increase mentoring opportunities and all the other elements that come naturally from being together in an office environment. However, an increased presence may be required as operational needs dictate. Only candidates willing to work in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador will be considered for this position.

Education:
• Successful completion of secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Information on language requirements
Experience:
• Experience providing administrative services, advice and guidance to managers or clients. Administrative services includes experience in at least two (2) of the following functions:
o Contracting and procurement
o Facilities management
o Fleet and asset management
o Health and safety/Security
• Experience managing employees
• Experience in managing a budget including preparing a budget forecast.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, SharePoint, etc.) or other shared document platforms.

ASSET EDUCATION:
• Other training pertaining to the position such as courses for Functional Specialist in procurement.

Willingness and ability to work overtime and on short notice.
