Duties

The T Division Asset Manager is accountable for the delivery of the various programs associated with asset management and guides the Division Senior Executive with strategic advice associated with the current and future state of the complex and the modern facility that is “Depot”. T Division Asset Manager leads a team of 65 staff, including 3 sub-ordinate managers. The team is comprised of Maintenance, Project and Administrative colleagues who are responsible for the stewardship and development of the RCMP Training Academy in Regina, SK. & the Police Dog Training Center in Innisfail, AB.

The maintenance team is comprised of trades in the following disciplines: general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, painting, carpentry & power engineering. The Regina and Innisfail complexes are comprised of approximately 130 assets which include, Mess Halls, Kennels, Administration, Hoteling Buildings and Firearms Ranges.

The T Division Asset Manager must also ensure the National, Regional and Divisional priorities, associated with an equitable and harassment free workplace are realized and fostered to further develop Depot Works as a preferred employer. The day to day work is dynamic, unique and challenging. The successful candidate will be rewarded with an opportunity to be an integral part of a word class police training program, with room to grow within the larger RCMP family.

In support of RCMP Operations spanning Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, including Depot (the national cadet training facility), the RCMP’s Northwest Corporate Management Branch (NW-CMB) is accountable for the corporate functions of: Procurement and Contracting, Materiel Management, Real Property, Fleet Management, Finance, Business Systems, and Organizational Business Integration. To successfully perform these functions, NW-CMB employees are required to actively engage with a diverse range of external and internal clients to understand and be responsive to their needs and take ownership of their roles and responsibilities. The work environment is demanding, often changing and unpredictable, therefore, NW-CMB employees are required to be professional, flexible, innovative, progressive and positive agents of change in order to achieve superior RCMP results and value for Canadians.

Testing/interviews will be conducted at the location of the employer's choice.

Successful applicant is required to work in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
