EDUCATION:
🔸 Occupational Certification:
Possession of a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate of Qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic OR provincial /territorial equivalency trade certificate OR acceptable equivalent Canadian Armed Forces qualification(QL5 or higher for applicable trade).
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working as a refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic.

EXPERIENCE:
🔸 AEX1: Recent and significant* experience working as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
*Recent and significant is defined as two (2) years of relevant experience attained within the last (5) years
🔸 AEX2: Experience working or volunteering in a mixed civilian and military environment.
🔸 AEX3: Experience in supervising personnel
🔸 AEX4: Experience mentoring apprentices

One or more of the following conditions of employment may be required, depending on the position being staffed. Additional conditions of employment could also be required, not listed below. The complete list of conditions of employment will be communicated to candidates at the time of consideration for appointment for each position being staffed.
• Various security clearances – reliability, secret, or top secret
• Required, but not limited to, enter confined spaces, climb ladders, erect scaffolds, work on elevated devices, crouching and/or kneeling, work at heights, noisy environments, and in adverse weather conditions.
• Must be willing and able to safely perform a variety of physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing and able to wear CSA approved safety footwear and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Must complete periodic departmental and trade training and/or upgrading as required
• Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted provincial or territorial driver's license such as Class 5 License
• Must be able to obtain and retain a DND 404 driver’s license
