EDUCATION:
• Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Notes:
1. Indeterminate incumbents in the IT group on December 9, 2021 who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the IT group.
2. Indeterminate incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. 3. At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum education stated above. EXPERIENCE:
• Significant* experience working as a technical specialist in a PeopleSoft HR application
• Significant* experience developing PeopleSoft application modules using PeopleCode, SQR and Application Engine
• Significant* experience writing Data Manipulation Language (DML) in SQL

*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of approximately one (1) year.
The following qualifications are "Asset Qualifications"
An asset qualification is considered a "nice to have." Asset qualifications may be used when considering best fit or future hiring needs. Candidates do not need to meet all of the following qualifications.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION:
• Certificate in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
• PeopleSoft Certifications such as PeopleTools Certified Implementation Specialist and PeopleSoft Human Resources Certified Implementation Specialist.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE:
• Significant* experience in planning and/or directing the development and/or implementation of complex** IT enabled projects.
• Significant* experience in recommending successful strategies to reduce IT incidents in a Production environment.
• Significant* experience in the management and implementation of change initiatives, having significant impacts on Departmental personnel and/or external clients.
• Significant* experience developing technical architectures, frameworks and/or strategies for the PeopleSoft HR application.
• Significant* experience working with PeopleSoft tools such as PeopleTools Change Assistant and/or PSQuery and/or Integration Broker.
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of approximately one (1) year.
**Complex projects are with at least two (2) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent setting, having a major impact on the public service.
