Mandate of the Real Estate Services Branch
The mandate of the Real Property Services Branch is to provide federal organizations with office space to support the delivery of their programs. Within the framework of this mandate, the employees of the Real estate services branch may be called upon to carry out strategic planning, management of real estate portfolios, leasing of commercial spaces, negotiation, projects realization by mobilizing project teams, acquisition and disposal of building and land, quality monitoring and/or contract management by facilitating access to outsourcing. The context of the last two years has led federal departments to rethink their office space requirements. PSPC plays a leading role in the implementation of current and future changes. Client service is at the heart of all these activities, as is sound stewardship to ensure the greatest value to Canadians.
Again, this year, for the second year, PSPC – Quebec Region is among the winners of MediaCorp's Best Employers in Montreal, a prestigious award that recognizes employers who have adopted progressive and forward-thinking programs and who are leaders in their industry by providing exceptional work environments.
PSPC – Quebec Region is first and foremost an environment where employees are encouraged to take care of their physical and psychological well-being. Since 2019, we have made wellness our regional priority and we offer monthly activities. Our region is certified Healthy Enterprise Elite + from the Bureau de normalization du Québec, the highest level of certification awarded. It is with great pride that we are the first federal organization to obtain this certification.
With its highly successful office development project, our Montreal office has been a showcase for more than 4 years on everything that is being done in terms of the activity-based workplace (ABW). This innovative environment focuses on collaboration and innovation through open and welcoming workspaces. To try it is to adopt it!
We are One PSPC!
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) helps the Government of Canada serve Canadians. With a strong focus on quality customer service, we provide innovative common services such as real estate and building management, purchasing, banking, pay and pensions, and translation to other government departments, agencies and boards. By providing these centralized services to departments and agencies, we enable them to focus on what they do best: providing their programs and services to Canadians.
At PSPC, we are committed to achieving a competent, representative workforce that reflects the diversity of the Canadian population.
