This inventory may be used to staff various positions with various tenures, language or security requirements within DND.

Positions to be filled: Number to be determined
Successful completion of a post-secondary program from a recognized post-secondary institution in engineering technology, naval architecture or other technical discipline relevant to the position being staffed, equivalent military training relevant to the position being staffed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

4. Appointment decisions may be based on one or more of the following criteria:
a) Matching of the individual's experience or qualifications to the strengths and weaknesses of the work team or specific duties of the position;
b) Depth, breadth, type of work-specific experience;
c) Level/degree of one or more competencies/qualifications;
d) Organizational needs, including Employment Equity.
5. Top down selection may be used during any stage of the selection process.
