Duties

Within the Strategic Services and Intergovernmental Affairs Branch, the Ministerial Services Advisor is responsible for reviewing, assisting in the drafting and coordinating the preparation of briefing notes, responses to ministerial correspondence, reports, parliamentary papers and other documents required by the Branch. He or she is responsible for coordinating the logistics of regional ministerial visits. He or she also provides general administrative and financial support services to the Strategic Services and Intergovernmental Affairs Branch.

📌 Workplace:
The official workplace for the positions to be filled is located in Quebec City (320 St-Joseph Street East). Successful candidates will be required to work at the work site in a hybrid work mode. A part-time telework agreement may be discussed and implemented at the time of hiring in accordance with the operational needs of the position to be filled.

EDUCATION
Secondary school diploma.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience coordinating, editing and tracking departmental correspondence, briefing notes, reports, memos or other documents to senior management.

Experience in researching and analysing information to develop recommendations.

Experience* in providing financial support services such as forecasting, expense tracking and financial reporting.

* 12 months experience within the last five (5) years is required.

EDUCATION
Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in an acceptable specialty related to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience in coordinating special events, meetings or activities.

Experience writing documents for senior management.

Experience working with the Financial Administration Act, policies or procedures related to financial management in the federal government.

Experience working with government procedures for ministerial correspondence, briefing notes and other required documents.

Experience supervising employees.
