EDUCATION:
Successful completion of secondary school education according to provincial/territorial standards or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EXP1. Significant** experience in providing client services.
EXP2. Significant** experience with Microsoft software; Word, Excel and Outlook in a Windows environment.
EXP3. Recent* and significant** experience with procedures related to acquisitions and inventory.
EXP4. Experience with use of power tools, drills, hand saw, basic fastening techniques with screws and glue for general repairs or installation.

*Recent experience is defined as within approximately the last two (2) years.

**Significant experience refers to the depth and breadth of the experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities, which would have been acquired approximately on a period of one (1) year or more.

AEX1. Experience or certifications with electrical, plumbing or contracting work.

KNOWLEDGE:
K1. Knowledge of the general principles related to government contracts and goods and services procurement.
K2. Knowledge of Statistics Canada’s policy on occupational health and safety and its application in a construction/warehouse environment.

Operational Requirements:

Willingness to accept workplace conditions and physical effort required such as:

1. Exposure to dust, toxic substances, excessive noise, and disagreeable weather conditions.

2. Obligation to be mobile including but not limited to work which requires climbing ladders, reaching, pulling and extending, and transportation of heavy equipment and material up to 25kg; lifting associated with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

Willingness and ability to do overtime (including weekends, evenings, nights and statutory holidays).

Willingness to travel across Canada approximately 24 – 26 weeks per year. This includes travel during weekends.
