We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW
You must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience qualifications, both essential and assets, by responding to the screening questions in the online application. Please note that it is not sufficient to only state that the requirement is met or to provide a listing of current responsibilities; rather, you must provide concrete examples that illustrate how you meet the requirement. Lack of details may result in your application being rejected as the Assessment Board will have insufficient information to determine whether or not you meet the qualifications. To have a better idea on how to answer the screening questions, we encourage you to watch this video developed by the Treasury Board Secretariat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GW7P3g9hhI
Written communication will be assessed throughout the process.
Exams will be sent to those that have been screened in between October 7 - October 17, 2022
About Us
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the courts. CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.
CSC is embracing an efficient and flexible hybrid model, where work functions permit. We are currently transitioning to a hybrid model with an option for a mix of telework and in-person work at the office
Although the immediate intent of this Job Opportunity Advertisement is to staff indeterminately, applicants should be aware that a pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level. In addition, this process may be used for various tenures (acting appointments, assignment, deployment, indeterminate, specified period, secondment), various security requirements, various locations and conditions of employment. As a result of the potential and possible use of the selection process and subsequent pool by hiring managers, we encourage all employees seeking this type of opportunity to apply.
