About Us
The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is the federal government agency responsible for administering sentences of a term of two years or more, as imposed by the courts. CSC is responsible for managing institutions of various security levels and supervising offenders under conditional release in the community.

CSC is embracing an efficient and flexible hybrid model, where work functions permit. We are currently transitioning to a hybrid model with an option for a mix of telework and in-person work at the office

Education
- Degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization* in economics, sociology, or statistics.

* All applicants must hold a degree. An acceptable specialization must include at a minimum 1 course in research methods, statistics or policy analysis. These courses do not need to be part of a degree program in economics, sociology, or statistics. Equivalent courses may be taken in other programs for example, but not limited to: epidemiology, data science/data analytics, demography/population studies, health sciences, or a health profession.

Asset Experience
- Experience protecting personal information through application of the Privacy Act and/or other relevant policy
- Experience working in an area related to health care.
- Experience with quality improvement projects
- Experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) to extract, manipulate and/or analyze large administrative data
- Experience developing data visualization tools (e.g. dashboards, infographics, etc.) using tools such as Power BI, R, or other software.
- Experience designing data collection tools for epidemiological investigations
