Giving you the best chance to succeed!
At Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) we are committed to running inclusive and barrier-free recruitment processes.
If you have a limitation that may impact your performance at any steps of the assessment process (such as during a written test or an interview), you may request an accommodation. Assessment accommodations are designed to remove barriers, and to ensure that candidates with limitations can fully demonstrate their abilities. Should you wish to be accommodated, please direct your inquiry to the contact identified at the bottom of this poster. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.
For more information on assessment accommodation visit the following website: https://www.canada.ca/en/public-service-commission/services/assessment-accommodation-page.html
***************************
Currently most PSPC staff are working remotely in response to the public health guidelines surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. At a later time when safe to do so staff are expected to report to their designated work location to perform their duties. On-going full-time telework (working remotely) is not guaranteed.
A PSPC-Ontario Executive Assistant (EA) supports not only their Regional Director (RD) and Management team, but is vital to their entire directorate and a member of an integral support system for the region. In order to keep this ecosystem humming, EAs respond to, and organize emails, and take requests. EAs answer questions, offer advice, hunt down resources, enforce expectations, and serve as advocates on behalf of their executive clients and teams.
As an EA, a typical day for you might include:
- Taking minutes for various meetings that your Director attends
- Creating power point presentation decks for meetings (i.e. Regional Executive Committee meeting)
- Supporting new hires who are having technical issues with their onboarding
- Resolving billing errors by leveraging your networks within both Finance and Procurement
- Negotiating alternative scheduling solutions
Is this the job for you?
You enjoy solving problems. You love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative solutions. You don’t get flustered easily and if you don’t know the answer, you’ll dig until you find it.
You’re proactive and think on your feet. You like learning new things and you can do this quickly. When things change, you know how to roll with the punches.
You write well and communicate clearly. You can explain just about anything to anyone and you’re comfortable connecting with the big wigs, experts, newbies and everyone in between.
You’re motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked. You truly want to make a difference and see this as an opportunity to make your mark within an organization that recognizes your value.
If this job sounds like it was made for you, read-on for more details on qualifications and how to apply.
