As a financial analyst on the financial management systems team, you will provide support, maintenance, configuration and will participate in projects to enhance our SAP Financial and Material Management systems to 7 large federal departments and agencies. You will work in a team to collaborate on many exciting and important projects including system upgrades, implementing and enhancing functionality and leveraging new technologies such as Cloud, machine learning, automation and artificial intelligence in order to provide effective and meaningful solutions to the financial community. Financial systems are made up of many key components including: Account Payable, Account Receivable, Sales and Distribution, Funds Management, Controlling, Project Systems, Salary Forecasting tool, General Ledger, Special Purpose Ledger, Enterprise Asset Management, Real Estate, Reporting, Planning and Forecasting. You will work collaboratively on inter-departmental committees and working groups in order to provide input to government-wide and department specific financial policies, systems, procedures and strategies. These positions are client focused and team driven in order to provide superior support and to ensure a reliable, modern and sustainable financial and material management solutions built on the SAP HANA platform.

Education:
• A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization* in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics and experience** related to positions in the Financial Management Group.
OR
• Possession of a recognized professional accounting designation.
* Specialization is defined as a minimum of 30 credits within one of these areas: accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics.
** Experience required must be related to financial management and relevant to the FI position being staffed. It can be acquired in the Public Service as well as through other means, e.g. private sector, volunteer work, self-employment, etc.
Experience:
• Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas: accounting operations, financial policies, financial planning and resource management, financial management advisory services, budgeting, costing, financial reporting and financial systems.
• Experience in analyzing, processing or reporting on financial data.
• Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment.
*The following are asset experiences, you will not be eliminated if you do not possess them.
Experience:
• Experience in maintaining, reconciling and implementing controls to manage finance and human resources.
• Experience in using the SAP system and its various modules and reporting tools.
• Experience in the development, configuration, testing and support of SAP modules and reporting tools.
