Regional Discipline Managers are part of Architectural and Engineering Services (AES) team and Senior project managers are found within project management (PM). Each is the leader of employees who provide professional and technical services related to a common expertise. Regardless of the sector in which they operate, managers supervise staff and provide strategic and functional direction for their group. They are responsible for developing a work plan to support the achievement AES or PM objectives, priorities, and commitments.

EDUCATION:
AR-06:
Degree* in architecture from a recognized post-secondary institution.
AND
Member of the "Ordre des architectes du Québec".
OR
Degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in landscape architecture
EN-ENG-05:
Degree* from a recognized post-secondary institution in civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction engineering or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
AND
Member of the "Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec".
* the term "degree" refers to a bachelor's degree, as established by the appropriate educational authorities.
EXPERIENCES:
1 - At least one continuous year of experience managing human and financial resources of a work unit or at least 3 years of experience managing multidisciplinary teams. Experience must have been gained within the last 5 years.
2 - Recent and significant* experience managing complex projects** or a program of real estate projects involving the planning, development or construction of buildings or engineering structures.
3 - Experience providing strategic advice to senior management on complex issues** related to architectural, engineering services, or construction project management.
* Recent and significant: rich and diverse experience with a high level of responsibility. Usually acquired over a period of about 8 years within the last 10 years.
**Complex: may involve high level of security, varied and sensitive issues and questions, multiple stakeholders, potential for media coverage or challenge for example.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Training, certification, professional accreditation, or program of study related to the field of project management.
Professional certification:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Experience:
- At least two (2) years of continuous experience in human and financial resource management.
- 12+ years of experience managing complex projects or a program of real property projects involving the planning, development or construction of buildings or engineering structures.
- Experience in developing mandates for technical and professional services for projects of great complexity and scope in building architecture.
- Experience in carrying out heritage conservation projects.
