Intent of the process

The intent is to create a pool that could be used to fill other HR-02 positions within Library and Archives Canada with different tenures, language profiles and security.

There is a possibility that a position could be staffed in Vancouver (British-Columbia).

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION :
Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in information science, archival science, library science, social sciences, humanities, public administration or some other specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE :
Experience performing various research projects using archival or historical sources.

Experience in using online and analog research tools as part of a research project or in a professional environment.

Experience in appraisal, acquisition, arrangement, description or in providing reference services in an archival or library context; or experience in information management.

ASSET EXPERIENCE :
Experience in processing or describing specialized media (architecture, art, audiovisual, cartography, philately or photography).

Experience in working with Indigenous related cultural heritage.

Experience in working with digital archives.

Experience in interpreting or applying Access to Information and Privacy legislation either provincially or federally.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS :
