This position is located in Ottawa; however, the successful candidate may work from the Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal or the Vancouver office.

Duties

The Regulatory Affairs Division (RAD) is a team of professionals advising on policy, analytical issues and legislative matters. RAD is responsible for developing and implementing prudential and legislative guidance for federally regulated financial institutions and private pension plans, and interpreting and applying the relevant statutes primarily in relation to approvals, compliance and OSFI’s formal intervention tools.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs and Strategic Policy, the Managing Director roles are responsible for:
• leading teams of professionals and developing, coaching and managing Director level staff;
• providing guidance, management direction and operational oversight on a portfolio of projects and initiatives related to the mandate of the Regulatory Affairs Division;
• providing advice to the Senior Director of RAD, Senior Management of the Policy Innovation and Stakeholder Affairs Sector and OSFI Executives;
• ensuring their teams work collaboratively with colleagues across OSFI and with key external stakeholders.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one or several positions with various language requirements (English Essential, Bilingual Imperative (CBC/CBC), Bilingual Non-Imperative (CBC/CBC)) on an indeterminate basis.
