Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates will be created and used to staff positions with various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, deployment and acting) within the RCMP in the various locations.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives

Degree equivalency

Experience interpreting financial policies or directives and providing advice and guidance to clients and management on a daily basis

Significant* experience in providing client service to clients from internal and external or private sector organizations
* Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired in the public or private sector through performance of the duties over approximately one (1) year.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience in interpreting and providing advice on the RCMP Integrated Relocation Program, the NJC Relocation Directive, the NJC Travel Directive, the Canadian Forces Integrated Relocation Program or the Foreign Service Directives

Experience using TEAM (SAP)

Experience presenting to groups of 15 or more

Willingness and ability to work overtime as required

Willingness to travel when required (once a year)

Willingness to work in the office and offsite

The successful applicant will have to obtain an RCMP security clearance. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, on-line activities, alcohol and/or drug use, etc.

Successful applicant is required to work physically in the location.

Indeterminate employees at the same group or level or equivalent may be considered for deployment.

A written examination and interview will be administered, and reference checks will be conducted.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
