FCAC is a small independent federal agency that offers a stimulating work environment. Work environment

Subject to the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA), we offer the same pension and benefits plans as the core public administration. In addition, you will benefit from a minimum of four (4) weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and be eligible for performance pay. We have our own unique classification system (RE and REX) with relevant equivalences. Intent of the process

We are seeking to staff one (1) indeterminate (permanent) position.

This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or a field relevant to the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

EX1: Recent and considerable experience* writing, editing and/or producing a variety of communications products such as social media, blog articles, video scripts, infographics, storyboards;

EX2: Recent and considerable* experience coordinating national social media campaigns with partners and/or stakeholders;

EX3: Recent and considerable* experience providing analysis and support, to clients and
stakeholders on social media and digital communications activities.

EX4: Experience responding to public social media queries, monitoring, and reporting using analytics.

Definitions:

Recent and considerable* experience is defined as the breadth and depth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of duties for a period of two years or more within the last three years.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
