Education:
Graduation with a university degree from a recognised post-secondary institution in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Chemical or Systems Design engineering, or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position and approved by the hiring board.
Experience:
- Experience in the implementation of controls, data acquisition and mechatronic systems.
- Experience with API development for programming using C/C++ and/or Phyton.
- Experience with developing, modifying and maintaining database structures.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the theories and principles of engineering related to design.
- Knowledge on instrumentation and controls used in automation.
Abilities:
- Ability to work independently.
Personal skills:
- Teamworking,
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Attention to detail.

Information on language requirements
Asset Qualifications:
- Experience with embedded software development, hardware programing and PostgreSQL database.
- Utilizing microcontrollers in applied applications.
- Robotics and robotic controls programing.
- Experience with CAD systems (eg. Solidworks, SiemensNX).
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The incumbent of this position may be required to use electrically and mechanically active equipment and components.
- The incumbent of this position may be required to travel inside and outside Canada
- The incumbent of this position should be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when testing and/or operating equipment
