Duties

A Junior Economist and Policy Analyst at FedDev Ontario undertakes a wide variety of activities ranging from detailed quantitative research to analyses of the southern Ontario economic and policy environment. Our analysts work closely with colleagues across the Agency and help to shape and support program design and delivery, as well as grow stakeholder relations and work with other regional and federal partners.

A pool will be established as a result of this process and may be used to fill similar positions with various tenures, language requirements and security profiles in various locations within the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.

EDUCATION:
Masters or other Post-graduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position available, including one of:
1. Economics
2. Statistics (Mathematics)
3. Data Science
4. Business Administration

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Experience preparing quantitative research and analysis in one or more of the following areas:
1. Industrial economic performance
2. International trade performance
3. Labour market performance
4. Macroeconomic analysis

EX2: Experience using analytical tools such as excel, statistical analysis software, or web or computer programming languages
