Providing technology advice, products and services for the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of real property for the Federal Government of Canada and other clients, to improve the administration and delivery of their programs and services and to help them achieve their vision and mandate.
Services are provided within the dual operating context of PSPC as a voluntary common service organization provided to clients for a fee and as a primary provider of office accommodation for the Government of Canada.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) helps the Government of Canada serve Canadians. With a strong focus on quality customer service, we provide innovative common services such as real estate and building management, purchasing, banking, pay and pensions, and translation to other government departments, agencies, and boards. By providing these centralized services to departments and agencies, we enable them to focus on what they do best: providing their programs and services to Canadians.

EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Note 1:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, for example:
a) Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in building design and approximately three (3) years of experience in conception and estimation.
b) Collegial Attestation Certificate or Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in a field related to the field of application.
EXPERIENCE (see Note 1):
BASIC EXPERIENCE:
EXP-01 : Experience in reviewing technical documents for leases or construction projects.
EXP-02: Experience using AutoCAD.
EXP-03 : Experience in providing technical, operational and maintenance advisory services in office and commercial buildings.
EXP-04: Experience updating maintenance specifications.
EXP-05: Experience using a preventive maintenance system.

Please demonstrate how you meet the experience 6, 7 and 8 in at least one or more of the following expertise (mechanical, architectural, electricity):
EXP-06: Verification of compliance with laws, codes and standards for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of systems relating to the discipline for which you are applying (mechanical building systems, architecture or building electricity).
EXP-07: Provision of technical and specialized advice regarding the systems relating to the discipline for which you are applying (mechanical building systems, architecture or building electricity).
EXP-08: Evaluation of the facilities relating to the discipline for which you are applying (mechanical building systems, architecture or building electricity).
Note 1: Means approximately three (3) years within the last five (5) years.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION:
AS-01: Post-secondary diploma in building systems technology (221-C0) or in a field related to the position to be filled.
AS-02: Post-secondary diploma in architectural technology (221.A0) or in a field related to the position to be filled.
AS-03: Post-secondary diploma in electrical technology (243-D0) or in a field related to the position to be filled.
AS-04: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in electricity.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
AS-06 : Electricity certificate, recognized by Emploi Québec.
AS-07: Electricity Competency Card recognized by the CCQ.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE:
AS-05 : Design experience in the field related to the position to be filled.
AS-08: Experience in project management.
