Intent of the process

A pool of qualified persons resulting from this process will be created and will be used to fill various administrative positions within the department with linguistic profiles (bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, bilingual imperative CBC/CBC, bilingual imperative CCC/CCC) as well as tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, assignment, secondment, specified period) which may vary according to the position being staffed.

This pool may be used to staff similar positions in other organizations within the core public administration (Eligibility for job opportunities in federal organizations - Canada.ca).

Education
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience
- Significant* experience providing advice and guidance to senior management** on administrative practices or procedures;
- Significant* experience analyzing data from multiple sources of information and summarizing into reports, documents, or presentations;
- Significant* experience in establishing priorities and managing deadlines;
- Significant* experience in a client service-oriented environment.

Significant* is defined as depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of those duties for a period of approximately two (2) years.
Senior management** is defined as Director level (or equivalent) and above.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
A1) Experience providing financial administration support, such as monitoring budgetary reports or verifying invoices using SAP;
A2) Experience in coordinating and reviewing senior executive level correspondence, including proofreading, and editing correspondence for the purpose of quality control;
A3) Experience making travel arrangements and processing travel expense claims;
A4) Experience coordinating the logistics for in-person and/or virtual meetings or events;
A5) Experience in providing administrative support services in human resources (staffing, classification);
A6) Experience coordinating ATIP requests;
A7) Experience in coordinating the daily operations and activities of a senior manager’s office (Director level and higher), through activities such as: managing the calendar, preparing for meetings including the preparation of agendas, meeting logistics, and taking notes;
A8) Experience in managing data, conducting data analysis, and preparing reports for management using databases;
A9) Experience in managing, processing, and filing of documents in an electronic document management system.
