The purpose of this inventory is to create and maintain a pool of candidates for term or indeterminate opportunities within Library and Archives Canada across Canada.This inventory could also be used to offer casual contract, deployment, acting, assignment and secondment.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in using various office software such as Outlook, Excel AND Word.

EDUCATION (ASSET):
Successful completion of an information technician program or certification, or museum studies program.
EXPERIENCE (ASSETS):
Previous work experience at Library and Archives Canada;
Recent* experience in delivering services to the public;
*Recent is defined as two consecutive years in the last five years.
Experience in the use of an automated tracking system*;
*An automated Tracking system is a software used for tracking the location of assets in an order or in an inventory for exemple.
Experience in delivering services to the public in a cultural environment such as museums libraries and/or archives;
Experience in data entry;
Experience using power and hand-operated transportation devices, such as: pallet movers, book carts, material transporter, art carts and other transportation devices, to safely and efficiently carry out storage and retrieval operations.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Security: Reliability or Secret;
- Willing and able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 20 kg (50 lbs).
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing and able to work between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on schedule determined by the employer as required.

If you do not clearly demonstrate how you meet the asset requirements, you may be eliminated from consideration if assets are used as selection criteria.
Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
