► Protective Technical Systems Support
Protective Technical Systems Support (PTSS) provides technical, software and networking support for the installation, modification and maintenance (life cycle management) of permanent and temporary computer based protective/security systems, related equipment, devices and software applications. Systems and services include, but are not limited to temporary and permanent installations of: electronic access control, electronic intrusion detection, mobile and static video systems and panic alarms.
► IT Operations – Wireless Communication Technician
Technical service and advice in the planning, development, configuration, installation, implementation, and maintenance of the wireless communications (IT) infrastructure and electronics infrastructure for an RCMP Division. The primary focus of the work is on wireless communications infrastructure.
Install, configure, operationalize and maintain IT infrastructure and electronics in centralized Operational Communication Centres, across the Divisional radio communications infrastructure, in police and special vehicles, and in support of field and specialized policing operations.
► IT Operations – IT Analyst (Data)
Technical services and advice in the planning, development, implementation, integration and maintenance of a departmental IT infrastructure in support of service delivery to internal and external clients, and stakeholders.
Evaluates, installs, maintains, troubleshoots, upgrades, documents and administers the use and replacement of LAN/MAN/WAN, mainframe, servers, workstations and peripheral equipment, related networking and operating system software and refers problems to the next level of support as required.

EDUCATION
Graduation from a two-year program of study from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
► Requirement to lift and carry heavy tools and equipment.
