This selection process will initially be used to staff one indeterminate position.
A pool of qualified candidates inclusive of Public Service (PS) employees and Civilian Members (CM); may be established through this process to staff identical or similar AS-05/ADM-05 positions on a temporary or indeterminate full-time basis.
Please note that an assignment appointment requires approval of your supervisor.
Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree specializing in the Social Sciences or Health Sciences OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience in the area of Disability Management and Accommodation.
EXPERIENCE:
E1. Recent* and significant** experience working in the private or public sector in a unit that is related to disability case management, return-to-work planning and/or employee workplace accommodations;
E2. Recent* and significant** experience advising management and/or employees on the application of laws and/or policies related to return-to-work, disability management, and/or employee workplace accommodations;
E3. Experience managing complex cases*** related to disability management and/or return-to-work.
E4. Experience in collaborating with stakeholders (e.g. human resource advisors and occupational health personnel) to support the successful return to work of employees.
*Recent experience is defined as experience associated with having performed this function in the past 5 years.
**Significant experience is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately 2 years.
*** Complex cases is defined as but not limited to, cases that require the consideration of internal and/or external influences such as legal obligations, internal policies and procedures, organizational culture. Cases that require critical thinking and the strategic action to achieve a successful outcome.

AED1. Post-secondary diploma or certificate with a health professional or disability management designation from an accredited educational institution or granted by a federal, provincial, or territorial certifying or licensing body in Canada.

Reliability Status security clearance - NOTE: Successful candidates will require a valid RCMP Enhanced Reliability security clearance prior to appointment and throughout the tenure of their employment. The process to obtain RCMP security clearance involves a security/reliability interview and a field investigation regarding matters of criminal activity which includes reference checks, verification of credit/financial status, education, employment, etc. As such, the process may take several weeks or months to complete.
